Hung King festival (Hung Kings Commemoriations 2012) open 31 Mar 2012 to 2 Apr 2012. You are advised to have your Vietnam visa approval in hand before this period of time. As regulations, it's the Vietnamese National holiday and the Vietnam Immigration Department offices has been closed. You should apply your visa soon to avoid missing the trip to Vietnam. 

The Festival lasts from the 9th to 13th day of the Third Lunar Month, with the 10th day being the main day. The festival offers an opportunity for the Vietnamese to visit their land of origin, and involves, among other things, a procession of traditional cakes ('Banh trung' - a four-cornered rice cake, 'Banh day' - a rice pie), 'Xoan' folk song contest (Hat xoan), Ca Tru and bronze drum performances.
